All proceeds will be used for free and confidential crisis and safety services\, emergency shelter for adults\, children\, and pets\, services for students at our campus office including Title IX advocacy\, and ongoing support and resources\, as well as prevention education to all ages in local schools and outreach to the communities in Albany County.

DESCRIPTION:From the event organizers: \nThe Wyoming Archaeology Fair\, which has become a beloved annual event\, will be held Saturday September 7th from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site in Laramie\, WY. This is a FREE event open to the public. The fair will showcase Wyoming’s cultural heritage including Indigenous lifeways and historic activities\, and provides a unique\, hands-on learning experience for all ages. Attendees are invited to try their hand at flint knapping\, atlatl throwing\, and pottery making\, as well as hide painting\, cordage making\, yucca processing and more. Additionally\, attendees will have an opportunity to meet local archaeologists\, ask questions\, and find answers! This year’s special guests are the Wind River Dancers\, who will demonstrate a variety of Indigenous dance styles. The Wind River Dancers will perform from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.

Over the past 15 years\, Feeding Laramie Valley has become a powerful force for good in the community\, working to make sure everyone is fed\, and fed well\, with healthy food. From their signature SHARES program distributing free produce to those who need it\, to Kids Out to Lunch providing free summer meals to kids of all ages\, and coordinating collection for a Community Composting program\, Feeding Laramie Valley is always innovating and creating new partnerships to reach the goal of food security for all.  \nThis year FLV has much to celebrate and thank the community for\, so they’re throwing a town-wide party on Saturday\, August 17th from 11:00am-3:00pm with free food and fun at three of their sites across town: their main office location in the historic Fort Sanders building at LaBonte Park; Kiwanis Park\, where they operate the Community Garden; and their production farm at the Albany County Fairgrounds.  \nNot only does this year mark the 15th anniversary of the organization\, but it also marks the 10th anniversary of Food and Fun in the Park(s). The hallmark of the event is the made-from-scratch meal served free to the public\, which aims to bring the community together through a shared meal. This year\, the talented team of chefs from the FLV Kids Out to Lunch program is cooking up grilled summer kabobs made from local ingredients\, including produce from Sheila Bird Farms and beef from 9-H Ranch. DESCRIPTION:Kids ages 13 and under can fish and prizes will be awarded for 4 different age groups: 5 and under\, 6-7\, 8-10\, 11-13.  Each group will have a prize for first fish caught\, smallest fish\, largest fish\, and first to reach the limit. \nRegistration begins at 7 am and fishing starts at 8 am.
