SUMMARY:A Sometimes Paradise: Reflections on Life in a Wyoming Ranch Family
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, February 17th\, please join the Albany County Historical Society at 7:00pm at the Alice Hardie Stevens Center at 6th & University in Laramie. Mark E. Miller  will present a free program on and talk about his award-winning book “A Sometimes Paradise: Reflections on Life in a Wyoming Ranch Family\,” published in 2024. We have all come upon a beautiful place and said to ourselves “If only this place could talk . . . oh\, the stories it could tell.”  Through Mark Miller’s memoir\, he has ensured that the land his family owned and managed for over a century will forever tell us its stories. Mark’s book introduces us to four generations of his Miller family whose lives were intertwined with the I Lazy D Ranch. Mark served as Wyoming State Archaeologist for three decades. He spent his youth and early adulthood on the ranch started in 1881 by his great-grandfather Isaac “Ike” Miller (1844-1912)\, who immigrated from Denmark in 1865.

SUMMARY:Laradise Music Showcase: Bob LeFevre & The Already Gone / Pushroot
DESCRIPTION:Bob Lefevre & the Already Gone exemplify the melancholy of high plains living with an intriguing blend of folk-Americana lyricism with the rhythms of alt-country and punk. \nThe roots of Bob Lefevre and the Already Gone can be traced to a shift in Lefevre’s songwriting a decade ago. As a punk rock musician for most of his career\, Lefevre wanted to write songs with a little more space for thoughtful\, articulate lyrics. \nPushroot (Lander) will be kicking off the night for the third installment of the Laradise Music Showcase! \nCome out and support local artists! \nShow: 8:00 pm \nDoors: 7:00 pm

SUMMARY:CPR And First Aid Class In Centennial
DESCRIPTION:The Centennial Public Library is offering a CPR and First Aid Course Saturday February 28th 9am to 5pm. The first aid portion will be in the morning and the CPR class will be in the afternoon. The class size is limited to 10 participants and there is no charge but you must register by emailing clca@centenniallibrary.net. If demand is high they will consider offering the class again in the summer. \nThis class is being organized thanks to a cost share between the library and a concerned neighbor which made it possible to purchase an automated external defibillator
