Run (or Walk) Like a Cheetah 5K for the Cheetah Conservation Fund
What: The Run Like a Cheetah 5K is a community run/walk event that is being organized by the Public Relations Techniques class in the Communication and Journalism Department at the University of Wyoming. Five of the student organizers that are planning this event will be participating in a study abroad opportunity in the summer to visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia. Proceeds and awareness for the event will support the Cheetah Conservation Fund.
When: The event will take place on Saturday, May 2.
The run portion will start at 8:30 a.m. and the walk portion will start at 9:30 a.m.
Where: Meet at Washington Park basketball court near Thornburgh and Sheridan in Laramie
Why: This local community-run/walk event aims to raise awareness and support the Cheetah Conservation Fund while connecting with the local communities in Laramie.
