Laramie League of Women Voters and Albany Co. Public LibraryPrimary Election Candidate Forums

—– The non-partisan League of Women Voters of Laramie (LWVL) and the Albany County Public Library (ACPL) are sponsoring Albany County Primary Election Candidate Forums on Thursday evenings, June 18, 25, July 2, 9 , 23, from 7 – 9 pm. These will be hybrid events, in-person at ACPL (310 S 8th St) and live streamed online and available for viewing afterwards on the ACPL, wyominglwv.org websites. This is a great way to learn about each candidate’s stances and motivations for running and to ask questions.

June 18; Albany County Commissioners; June 25; Laramie City Council: July 2; Albany County Clerk, Coroner, Treasurer, Clerk of District Court: July 9; Wyoming House Districts 13, 14, 45, 46: July 23; Albany County Attorney, County Sheriff.

Additionally, July 15 will feature a forum for Wyoming Secretary of State, and Wyoming State Treasurer, co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Wyoming, Wyoming Public Media and WyoFile; followed by a forum on July 16 for Wyoming Superintedent of Public Instruction. Both forums will be at the Albany County Public Library at 7 pm.

The League will be continuing a more than 50-year partnership with the Laramie Boomerang publishing a Primary Election Voter Guide insert, Wednesday, July 22. Candidates appearing on the ballot have been invited to provide information for the guide and to participate in candidate forums.

We encourage all eligible voters to register and to vote in the upcoming election. Early voting in Wyoming begins July 21, and the staff at the Albany County Clerk’s election office is happy to answer any questions you might have regarding registering, and how and where you can vote (including the new county vote centers), elections@co.albany.wy.us, 307-721-2546.
